Description
Acrylic also known as Perspex® (by it’s trading brand name) is a type of plastic that we use for signs. Acrylic signs are a great alternative to glass as it is far more durable and have a variety of colours available, some fully opaque or transparent. They are also the main item used for illuminated signage and lightboxes.
To create a more 3D look, we can also laser cut acrylic letters or logos and apply it to sign panels. This makes some elements of the signs more pronounced creating a great impact.
Various print options are available including UV printing, vinyl prints or cut vinyl graphics can be applied – all of which have their pro’s and con’s but get in touch and we can advise.
This signage is a popular choice for wayfinding signs too, as they can be fixed outside or inside.
Various opacities are also available which make acrylic perfect for use on light boxes and illuminated signs. We can also print and apply cut vinyl logos to create a custom backlit message.
Thickness of acrylic signs
Acrylic comes in various thicknesses from (1mm – 10mm) and can be cut to nearly any nearly size.
Fixings
We can fix acrylic to a variety of surfaces but the most popular way to present these signs is using stand-offs fixings (available in a polished or unpolished finish) which gives it the professional sign look.
If you are looking for new signage for your business or to replace existing signage – we can help including light box acrylics etc.
